Transformation

Seek the Truth with all your heart.

Romans 12:2  ‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD’s will is;
HIS  good, pleasing, and perfect will.’

2 Corinthians 3:16-18  But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil (clouded understanding) is taken away.  Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, Who is the Spirit.’

1 Peter 3:3-4  ‘Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewellery or fine clothes.  Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in GOD’s sight.’

Transformation’  is mostly an internal process.

To be transformed, is to become changed spiritually, mentally, and in your heart.  It involves awakening, awareness, inspiration, realization, and revelation.

It changes your thinking, your beliefs, your speaking, your choice of words, your actions, your perspectives, your priorities, your values, and your involvements.

Your whole life has new values.

A transformed person is led by the Holy Spirit, they are ‘born again’  = spiritually born from above - they know Jesus, and they and Jesus reside spiritually within each other.  They fly above the crowd and no longer conform to worldly ways and values.  GOD, through the Holy Spirit is the best navigator possible, and when you are surrendered to GOD; the Holy Spirit leads you.  YOU exercise wisdom and discernment about what you choose to think, say, and do; and do not just become fickle followers of worldly ways.  They are free to be independent and individual.

John 15:18-20  Jesus said:  “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first.  If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.  As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.  That is why the world hates you.’

Romans 8:10-11  “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.  And if the Spirit of HIM WHO raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, HE WHO raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of HIS Spirit Who lives in you.’

Romans 12:2  ‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what GOD’s will is – HIS good, pleasing and perfect will.’

2 Corinthians 13:5  ‘Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.  Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you – unless, of course, you fail the test?’

Galatians 2:20  “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of GOD, WHO loved me and gave Himself for me.’

Conforming’  is mostly an external process.

To be conformed, is choosing to copy others ways, following the crowd, being influenced by the majority, in behaviour, customs, culture, dressing, trends, and ways of speaking. Avoid relenting to worldly pressures.

Ephesians 4:19-24  ‘Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. That, however, is not the way of life you learned when you heard about Christ and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like GOD in true righteousness and holiness.’
