New Heavens and New Earth

Seek the Truth with all your heart.
GOD restores this planet and its heavens to HIS original plan of absolute perfection. Absolutely everything will be created anew, including all plant life, and animal life which have become extinct.
This refers to the immediate ‘heavens’ of Earth’s atmosphere, which has deteriorated together with the pollution of this world. GOD’s home, the true heaven, is perfect and does not require any improvement at all.
This Earth is full of sin ---- the new Earth will be full of righteousness.
Life on this earth ends in death ---- life on the new earth will be eternal.
There will never again be sin, sickness, pain, crime, cruelty, death, or any suffering at all.
The first time GOD destroyed by flood, HE saved 8 people, all members of Noah’s family; and they survived in the Ark on top of the flood.
Genesis 6:13 ‘So GOD said to Noah, ‘I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.’
This coming time, GOD will destroy by fire; and all of us who are truly loving members of GOD’S family will be taken to heaven where we will be until HE creates the new heavens and the new earth which will be as perfect as the original. (Heavens, in this case, refers to the different levels of our atmosphere, which has become as degraded as has the earth.)
At the end of the Last Days there will be destruction of the present earth:
Jeremiah 4:23-28 ‘I looked at the Earth, and it was formless and empty; and at the heavens, and their light was gone.
I looked at the mountains, and they were quaking; all the hills were swaying.
I looked, and there were no people; every bird in the sky had flown.
I looked and the fruitful land was a desert; all its towns lay in ruins before the LORD, before HIS fierce anger.
This is what the LORD says; “The whole earth will be ruined, though I will not destroy it completely.
Therefore the Earth will mourn and the heavens above grow dark, because I have spoken and will not relent; I have decided and will not turn back.”
2 Peter 3:10-13 ‘But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the Earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be.? You ought to live holy and GOD-ly lives as you look forward to the day of GOD and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with HIS promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new Earth, the home of righteousness.’
All the organizations and movements to save the environment, the whales, the forests, and everything else in nature, are all well intended. However we should have been doing all that since day one, when GOD gave Adam dominion over all that He had created on Earth.
We cannot restore what has become extinct. GOD now wants people to be saved by coming into relationship with Him so that we can eventually live in and enjoy HIS new creation when all things will be restored.
Revelation has a lot to say about this. GOD gave this information to HIS Angel, who gave it to John, who wrote it to show – GOD’s people – GOD’s servants – GOD’s children - things which must take place soon; and remember Prophecy and Revelation in the Bible has never been wrong, it is guaranteed to happen, to be fulfilled accurately in every sense.
Revelation means Revealing – Unfolding.
Jesus is Revelation’s light of the world.
The Book of Revelation describes travel, beyond imagination, into the infinite universe.
Isaiah 11:6-9 ‘The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put heir hand into the viper’s nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy on all MY holy mountain, for the Earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.’
Isaiah 60:1-3 & 19-20 ‘Arise, for your light has come and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the Earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and HIS glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and the kings to the brightness of your dawn.
The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your GOD will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.’
Isaiah 65:17 “Behold I will create new heavens and a new Earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.”
(Verses 18- 25 describe some of the conditions of the perfect new Earth.)
Isaiah 66:22 “As the new heavens and the new Earth that I make will endure before me,” declares the LORD, “so will your name and descendants endure.”

Revelation 21:1-5 ‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new Earth, for the first heaven and the first Earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, The New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from GOD, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying ”Now the dwelling of GOD is with mankind, and HE will live with them. They will be HIS people, and GOD HIMSELF will be with them and be their GOD. HE will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
(All land masses will be joined together as they were originally created. There will only be inland seas, not open oceans.)
Revelation chapters 21 and 22 describe part of the magnificent new earth and new heaven, and The New Jerusalem where there will not be any darkness or need for a sun, because perfect light comes from GOD.
There will be GOD’s own family, those who love GOD and have entered into relationship with Him through Jesus, abiding for eternity in this perfect world to come.
Revelation 11:15 ‘The seventh angel sounded his trumpet and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of HIS Messiah, and He will reign forever and ever.”
Revelation 21:1-7 ‘Then I saw “a new heaven and a new Earth,” for the first heaven and the first Earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from GOD, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look, GOD’s dwelling place is now among the people, and HE will dwell with them. They will be HIS people, and GOD Himself will be with them and be their GOD. HE (GOD) will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
HE WHO was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then HE said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
HE said to me: “It is done, I am the ALMIGHTY and the Omega, the beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their GOD and they will be MY children.”
Revelation chapters 20 & 21 reveal that GOD’s re-creation of new heavens and a new Earth follows immediately after a global, cleansing, purifying lake of fire, dissolves the very elements of Earth and air in the intense searing, cleansing flames. This Earth is consumed and cleansed by flames and immediately there follows GOD’s creation of new heavens and a new Earth.
GOD wants as many as possible - every person in the world if possible - to be in faithful relationship with HIM, so that they will be in the new heavens and new Earth.
Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.”
Future creation in the universe: The Bible reveals that GOD planned an unimaginably magnificent relationship between mankind and the countless number of stars and galaxies stretched across the endless vastness of space.
Romans 8:19-21 ‘For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of GOD. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of GOD.’
There is a stunning history behind these verses; and even more, there is extraordinary promise and a future as vast and limitless as the universe. Mankind is destined to take responsibility for finishing the creation of the universe which is presently suffering from decay. It is our awesome destiny to be born into GOD’s family and bring life to myriads of lifeless planets scattered throughout the deep blackness of space. How magnificent; mankind was created to co-create, and as GOD’s own sons – children - we will be forever creating.
Let your heart be filled with things of GOD and eternity, Do not allow yourself to be attached to temporary things such as acquiring, collecting, amassing possessions, property, valuables, and investments in this life. These cause a cord of attachment to bind your heart to Earth. By all means have whatever enables a healthy income and decent life, but keep everything in perspective. Let your heart be filled with relationship with Jesus and GOD and everything associated with HIS eternal kingdom, and your future eternal life in heaven and on the new Earth.
Some people believe that humanity can restore the Earth, the environment, the atmosphere, the quality of life, and human consciousness, in all respects. They intend to achieve all this, and more, by visualization, concentrated thought, changed attitudes, changed thinking, and changed behaviour. Ideals are good, but the realities are very uncertain. Why should we think that we can achieve all this and more; when GOD, through Jesus, has opened the door for believers to inherit what HE is offering, which is eternal perfection in every sense, and magnificence beyond our wildest imagination. When GOD’s believers, and devoted followers who have absolute faith in HIM, are in HIS kingdom, all these idealistic Earthly intentions will look like a baby’s play-pen.
It is impossible for humanity to achieve restoration or re-creation of this Earth. GOD alone can and will create a new heavens and a new Earth. Not only will everything be restored perfectly, but it will be far, far better than humanity has ever known it to be.
So choose eternal life with GOD.
