Faith - Hope - Belief

Seek the Truth with all your heart.

Faith in GOD’s eyes is only faith if it is 100% faith.  There is no room for anything less.  Faith is faith - it must be absolute.

Faith and Hope each need each-other, they are interdependent, otherwise each is hollow.

Faith carries Hope and Hope carries Faith.

Through Faith we have Hope.

Faith and Hope both require trust.

Faith is Hope in things unseen and is the gateway to receiving.

Faith is one of the most emphasized gifts in all of scripture.

Faith is beyond physical evidence, it is belief without evidence.

Faith is a heart commitment, which is essential for a Christian; it is born out of belief and trust.

Faith is an expression of the heart, it is not a mental decision, it especially needs to be supported by the heart.  Because it is belief in things unseen, one’s heart needs to back it up (endorse it), because the mind usually can only fully believe in something which has physical evidence.   Faith in GOD is really a heart thing.

Hope is based on a firm knowing, belief, faith, and expectation in GOD’s promises.

Jesus has given us reason and justification to have amazing hope; in fact the best HOPE possible.

We need to proclaim our faith and speak it out as part of who we are, so that it is doing two things; acting as a witness to others, and confirming it to ourselves, which strengthens our own spirit.

Faith can be likened to a wire that carries electricity.  Therefore we must have faith because faith enables GOD’s promises (like electricity) to flow into our lives.  Faith is the vehicle.                        It might even be necessary  to make a decision ‘to have faith - to have faith.’

Faith in the matters of GOD never fails, it only fails when your perseverance in holding on to faith, fails.

To release Faith, a mindful, wilful, purposeful decision is required.   Faith activates the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.  Our attitude, and what we say, are crucially important.

In prayer we must have faith, otherwise our carnal mind remains occupied with present situations, instead of what we are praying for.

A psychological view is that:  ‘Hope is the most powerful stimulant for the body.  Hope has significant impact on our physical, mental and spiritual health.’

Oncologist, James Groopman, linked hope and healing in his book ‘The Anatomy of Hope:’ ‘Clear eyed hope gives us the courage to confront our circumstances and the capacity to surmount them.  For all my patients, hope - true hope - has proven to be as effective as any medication.’

Scriptures show that:  The sick are healed by faith.  We are saved through faith.  The disciples worked by faith.  We should carry the shield of faith.  The just shall live by faith.  The righteous will walk by faith.  We are children of GOD through faith.  We need a faith that works by love.

Faith replaces anxiety, doubt, worry, stress, and even physical evidence.

To receive from GOD we must believe with absolute faith. There is an immense difference between truth and facts. They are not the same even though we are usually taught from an early age that they are synonymous, and interchangeable.   In Faith, you can choose to ignore (deny) the so-called facts, and hold on to truth.

Facts describe what ‘appears’ to exist or to be the case, which is positioned in the past and the present, whereas truth is the future in GOD, from that point onwards.

Truth is a person.  Jesus said, “I am the way, truth and the life.” Truth becomes what Jesus has to say about the facts, about the situations you face, and about your transformed future.

Hebrews 11:1- 40  Contains seventeen accounts of people acting in pure faith, with great outcomes.  These well known Biblical people did great things in and by faith:  Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Moses parents, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephithah, David, Samuel, and the prophets.

Faith can be planted like a seed; by your words, and irrevocable thoughts of belief. Plant it in your heart, and don’t allow doubt to set it back, stunt its growth, or even kill it.  Don’t dig it up to see if it is growing or to plant it afresh; which is akin to not leaving your desire with GOD in absolute faith and belief.  Keep it prayerfully in your mind, thanking GOD for your desired outcome, and give it time to manifest.   Any natural seed requires time, and will grow in keeping with, and true to, its type; so likewise, plant your desired seed in keeping with your purpose for it.

Hope is like a golden cord connecting you to heaven,

Hebrews 11:1-7  ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence (certainty) of things we do not see.  This is what the ancients were commended for.  By faith we understand that the universe was formed at GOD’S command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

By faith Abel offered GOD a better sacrifice than Cain did.  By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when GOD spoke well of his offerings.  And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because GOD had taken him away.  For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased GOD.  And without faith it is impossible to please GOD, because anyone who comes to HIM must believe that HE exists and that HE rewards those who earnestly seek HIM.

‘By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with GODly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.’

The remaining thirty one verses are all about historic Bible events completed in faith.

Noah spent 120 years building the Ark despite the fact that it had never rained, and everyone was accusing him of being crazy and deluded.  He did it by following GOD’s instructions with one hundred percent faith; without allowing people’s onslaught of criticism and insults to have any affect at all.

Faith in anything is not denying the facts about the situation, it's just not allowing the so called facts to have influence over faith and belief in the truth of what GOD can do in the situation.   Faith and belief enable us to own whatever GOD has for us, as the result of our asking, according to HIS will.  It is the road or conduit by which we receive.

Faith is a positive response to GOD’s grace and supply of what HE has ‘already done,’ and therefore is what we can assume is as good as done.

Don't let anyone, no matter how well ‘educated’ they are, convince you that the Earthly human facts are the truth and therefore the end of the matter.  Always seek heaven’s opinion.

Faith leads, but sometimes and even frequently, is held back by human reasoning, analysis, and conclusions.  Reticence holds back progress.  Be qualified by Jesus, GOD, and the Holy Spirit, not by human limitation.

Exodus 14:14  ‘The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.’

Psalm 1:1A & 2  ‘Blessed is the person whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law they meditate day and night.’

Psalm 12:6  ‘And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.’

Psalm 25:3  ‘ No one whose hope is in YOU will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

Psalm 33:18-22  ‘But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear HIM, on those whose hope is in HIS unfailing love, to keep them from death and keep them alive in famine.  We wait in hope for the LORD; HE is our help and our shield.  In HIM our hearts rejoice, for we trust in HIS holy name.  May YOUR unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in YOU.’

Psalm 37:4 & 34  ‘Delight yourself in the LORD and HE will give you the desires of your heart.’ ‘Hope in the LORD and keep HIS way. HE will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are destroyed, you will see it.’

Psalm 85:10-11  ‘Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other.  Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven.’

Psalm 119:105 & 130  ‘Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.’

Psalm 119:127-128  ‘Because I love Your commands more than gold, more than pure gold, and because I consider all Your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.’

Psalm 147:11  ‘… the LORD delights in those who fear HIM, who put their hope in HIS unfailing love.’

Proverbs 9:10  ‘The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.’

Proverbs 13:12  ‘Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.’

Proverbs 28:20  ‘A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.’

Lamentations 3:25-26  ‘The LORD is good to those whose hope is in HIM, to the one who seeks HIM; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.’

Isaiah 26:2  ‘Open the gates that the righteous may enter, the nation that keeps faith.’

Isaiah 40:29-31  ‘HE gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.’

Isaiah 41:10  ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your GOD.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with MY righteous right hand.’

Micah 7:7  ‘But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for GOD my Saviour, my GOD will hear me.’

Matthew 4:4  ‘It is written, “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of GOD.”

Matthew 9:22.  Mark 5:34.  Luke 8:48.  Faith is a type of Belief.  Belief is a type of Faith.   Jesus said to this woman;  “Your faith has healed you.”  Because she believed so absolutely that if she just touched the hem of Jesus garment, she would be healed, she was; after many years of trying everything, and spending all her money with doctors.

Matthew 9:29  Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you.”

Matthew 17:18-20  ‘Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment.

Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out.?”

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ’Move from here to there’ and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you.”  (‘Mountain’ is symbolic of whatever problem you need to cope with.)

Mark 9:23  “If you can.?” Said Jesus, “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Mark 11:22-26  “Have faith in GOD,” Jesus answered.’  Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, “Go throw yourself into the sea,” and does not doubt in their heart but believes what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your FATHER in heaven may forgive you your sins.’

The ‘mountain’ represents whatever it is that you are seeking.  If you are holding onto any unforgiveness, GOD cannot act on your behalf.

Luke 17:5-6  ‘The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.’

This shows that as long as you have the capacity to have faith, without questioning, you can develop it into great faith.

Luke 22:32  ‘But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail.  And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.’’

John 5:1-2  ‘Therefore since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.  And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of GOD.’

John 11:40  ‘Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of GOD.?”

John 12:40  ‘GOD has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn, and I would heal them.’

This refers to those people who insist on sticking to their own opinions and decisions, and are not willing to listen to, or accept Biblical Truth; so GOD condemns them to remain trapped in their own stubbornness and resistance.

John 12:47-48  “As for the person who hears My words but does not keep them, I do not judge him.  For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it.  There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not accept My words, that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day.”

John 14:9  ‘Jesus answered;  “don’t you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time.?  Anyone who has seen Me has seen the FATHER. How can you say, Show us the FATHER.?”

John 14:12-14  ‘Jesus said  “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. They will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the FATHER.  And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Son may bring glory to the FATHER.  You may ask anything in My Name, and I will do it.”

Acts 3:16  ‘By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong.  It is Jesus name and the faith that comes through Him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see.’

The way of faith is very different from the way of law. The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, the law says “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”  No one is capable of keeping the law perfectly, so Jesus gave us the better option of faith, which replaces the law.  So it is only by and through faith that we can meet GOD’s requirements.

Acts 17;11-13  ‘Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.  As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.  But when the Jews in Thessalonica learned that Paul was preaching the Word of GOD at Berea, some of them went there too, agitating the crowds and stirring them up.’

Hebrews 11:6  ‘And without faith it is impossible to please GOD, because anyone who comes to HIM must believe that HE exists and that HE rewards those who earnestly seek HIM.

One hundred or more years ago, well-known, very wealthy, or royal family names were described as The House of ‘that name.’  This identified the background and standing of that person.  So all the power, wealth, and integrity of that family was represented by that name.

Christian Believers, likewise, can be said to be from or of The House of Faith, which means that, as believers, we are known for our faith, it’s what and who we are.   GOD has honoured us by bringing us into the most powerful house = HIS household = HIS kingdom. ever created.  HE has made us HIS sons and daughters, and therefore joint heirs with Jesus Christ.  That is who we are, together with the associated rights and authority.

2 Timothy 2:13  ‘If we are faithless He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown Himself.’

What really matters are faith, belief, and relationship, which are the backbone.

Romans 1:16-17  ‘I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of GOD for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.  For in the gospel a righteousness from GOD is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: ‘The righteous will live by faith.’

Romans 3:22 & 28  ‘This righteousness from GOD comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference.’  (The original language says ‘with the faithfulness of Jesus Christ’)     ‘For we maintain that a person is justified by faith, apart from observing the law.’

Romans 4:13-17  ‘It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.  For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, because the law brings wrath.  And where there is no law there is no transgression.  Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring; not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham.  He is the father of us all.  As it is written “I have made you (Abraham) a father of many nations.”  He is our father in the sight of GOD, in whom he believed; the GOD Who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.’

In prayer we must have faith, otherwise our carnal mind remains occupied with present situations, instead of what we are praying for.

Galatians 3:29  ‘If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.’

Romans 5:1-2  ‘Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.  And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of GOD.’

Romans 8:6  ‘The (carnal) mind of sinful people is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.’

Romans 8:22-25  ‘We know that the whole creation has been groaning, as in the pains of childbirth. Right up to the present time.  Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as children, the redemption of our bodies.  But hope that is seen is no hope at all.  Who hopes for what they already have.?   But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.’

Romans 10:8-10  ‘But what does it say.?  “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:  That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that GOD raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.’

Romans 10:17  ‘Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.’

Romans 12:3  ‘For by the grace given to you I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourselves more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith GOD has given you.’

Romans 15:4  ‘Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.’

Romans 15:13  ‘May the GOD of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in HIM, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’

The following wonderful scripture is a magnificent one to embrace in faith and hope:

1 Corinthians 2:9  ‘As it is written: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what GOD has prepared for those who love Him.’

1 Corinthians 16:13  ‘Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.  Do everything in love.’

2 Corinthians 4:16-18  ‘Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes on what is unseen, not on what is seen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.’

2 Corinthians 5:7  ‘We live by faith, not by sight.’

2 Corinthians 13:5  ‘Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.  Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you; unless, of course, you fail the test.’

Galatians 2:20  ‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of GOD, Who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Galatians 3:5-13  ‘So again I ask, does GOD give you HIS Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard.?’ (by faith.)  So also Abraham “believed GOD, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”                                  Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham.  Scripture foresaw that GOD would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.  So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

For all who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written:  “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one is justified before GOD by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.” The law is not based on faith; on the contrary,  The person who does these things will live by them.  Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written:  “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”  He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.’

Galatians 3:23-29  ‘Before the coming of faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed.  So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.  Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of GOD through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 5:6  ‘For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor un-circumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.’ (The meaning of circumcision is now applied as a ‘spiritual circumcision’ of the heart; which means ‘cutting away’ (removing) the worldly nature, carnal thinking and everything which is impure.)

Galatians 6:10  ‘Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.’

Ephesians 2:8  ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith; and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of GOD.’

Ephesians 6:16  ‘In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.’

Hebrews 4:2  ‘We also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those heard did not combine it with faith.’

Hebrews 6:12  ‘We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what GOD has promised.’

Hebrews 6:19-20  ‘We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.  It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, Who went before us, has entered on our behalf.  He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.’

Hebrews 10:23  ‘Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.’

Hebrews 10:37-38  ‘For in just a very little while,  “He (Jesus) Who is coming will come and will not delay.  But My righteous (just) one will live by faith.  And if they shrink back, I will not be pleased with them.”

Hebrews 12:2  ‘Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of GOD.’

James 1:2-8  ‘Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.  If any of you lacks wisdom, they should ask GOD, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to them.  But when they ask, they must believe and not doubt,  because whoever doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Such a person should not think they will receive anything from the Lord; they are double-minded, unstable in all they do.’

James 2:14-20  ‘What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds.?  Can such faith save them.?  Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.  If anyone of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it.?  In the same way, faith by itself; if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.  But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”  Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one GOD.  Good.  Even the demons believe that, and shudder.  You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?’

James 2:24 & 26  ‘You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.’ ‘As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.’

The above three sentences are saying that unless you are showing evidence of your faith in your life, your faith is not genuine.

1 Peter 1:3-9  ‘Praise be to the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ. In His great mercy HE has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.  This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by GOD’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that the proven genuineness  of your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though  refined by fire – may result in praise glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.  Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.’

1 Peter 5:7  ‘Cast all your anxiety on HIM because HE cares for you.’

1 John 5:4  ‘Everyone born of GOD overcomes this evil world. This is the victory that we achieve through faith.’

This faith needs to be a very strong, unwavering faith within each person.  Born of GOD, means ‘Born Again.’ Our first birth was of human parents, into humanity in a fallen world.  When we are ‘Born Again’ it is a spiritual birth in which we become filled with GOD’s Holy Spirit, and our GODly Spirit comes alive (born) and are therefore spiritually born into GOD’s kingdom.  It is in this way that we are ‘born again.’  The eventual true, eternal, spiritual, and physical fulfilment of it, is after our resurrection.

Faith without good deeds is dead = useless and meaningless in GOD’s eyes.   Likewise good deeds without faith are dead = useless and meaningless (valueless) in GOD’s eyes.  You cannot be saved by one without the other.

Revelation 2:10  ‘Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer.  I (GOD) tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution.  Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.’

Faith in GOD is shown by your words, actions, lifestyle and relationship with GOD.  Believing that GOD exists does not prove anything unless it follows through into your whole life.  Real belief and faith have dimension in every direction.  Believing that GOD exists is just a basic premise.  Having faith in GOD is a whole new dimension.

The very minute you rise up in faith and start walking in the love of GOD, fear (the other kind of fear) is washed (flushed) away.  Let faith and love and all they represent now reign within you.  The stronger your faith is, the stronger your love is.

Superstition is a type of belief and therefore of faith.  If superstition is attached to any particular belief system, or to a type of idol or object, then superstition is giving that object power.  The power exists in the superstitious belief itself, not in the object or action to which that person has attached their belief.  Therefore the power of anything, other than GOD Himself, is only the power that human belief gives it.  Therefore it is possible for a person’s faith or belief to be directed wrongly, and to lead to their untimely death.

Have faith in the Bible:

People who look to the scriptures to find discrepancies do not have spiritual insight. With distorted vision they will see many causes for doubt and unbelief in things that are really plain and simple; things that record the same scene from different angles.  To those who receive GOD’s Word with reverence, and seek to learn HIS will, so that they may live it out in obedience; for them everything is changed.  They are filled with awe and wonder as they contemplate the purity and excellence of the Truths explained.

The Bible contains everything that is needed for saving our soul, and at the same time   strengthening and disciplining our mind.  The Bible, especially if used in schools, could be more effective than any other book for teaching wise guidance in life, while helping one’s soul to progressively negotiate the pathway to heaven.  The Bible gives the true seeker advanced mental and spiritual stimulation, while the reader’s faculties are enriched by the contemplation of divine matters; even more so than they would ever have expected.

2 Timothy 2:11-13  ‘Here is a trustworthy saying:  If we died with Him (meaning that we strongly identify with Jesus’ sacrifice, and turn away from sinning = to ‘die’ to the world and it’s sinful ways,)  we will also live with Him; if we endure, we will also reign with Him.  If we disown Him, He will also disown us; if we are faithless, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown himself.’

Philippians 4:19-20  ‘And my GOD will meet all your needs according to HIS riches in Christ Jesus.  To our GOD and FATHER be glory for ever and ever.  Amen.
