Come to GOD as little children
Seek the Truth with all your heart.
We need to believe and have faith just like little children do, not questioning and trying to analyse and understand things which we cannot comprehend.
We are to revere GOD. (Reverence is defined as deep respect, esteem, humility, veneration, honour, love, and awe.) To revere, with childlike wonder, is to hold in the highest possible respect; and only GOD is worthy of this.
Matthew 18:3-5 Jesus said “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles themselves like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me.”
Matthew 19:14 Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Mark 10:14-15 ‘When Jesus saw this, He was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of GOD belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of GOD like a little child will never enter it.”
Luke 18:15-17 ‘People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have Him touch them. When the disciples saw this they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of GOD belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of GOD like a little child will never enter it.”
Luke 11:28 ‘Jesus replied “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of GOD and obey it.”
Little children do not analyse, they just believe with unquestioning faith. So likewise we need to be the same. Instead of trying to analyse and justify things, and apply our own reasoning to matters which are beyond our so-called logic and finite minds; we need to accept and rest in FAITH.
Adults need never lose their child-like dependency behind, if properly educated they may continue their trusting innocence, without being naïve and vulnerable. As children mature they will question things as we all do; however child-like faith in GOD is always a wonderful characteristic and quality to retain. This is the basis of faith in GOD and the things of GOD. It is futile to justify GOD and His existence by intellectual and academic reasoning. Intellectual ego does not allow child-like faith and innocence to exist.
We have finite minds so it is only possible to understand the meaning of infinity and eternity, but impossible to comprehend the actual reality of them.
Children are not a separate breed of human beings, they are young human beings who need to be very carefully nurtured, taught Truth, and progressively prepared for effective, responsible adulthood; forever growing in knowledge, understanding, intelligence, and wisdom.
