Seek the Truth with all your heart.
Music has influence & power for GOD’s glory, praise, and worship.
Music, like an exquisite perfume, can transport you. At worship meetings it can create an uplifting and even healing atmosphere.
One comes to realize that music has a universal, eternal, supernatural quality that connects the physical and spiritual, transcending time and space. Music is part of the divine substance that creates miracles in a realm beyond the limitations of this time-controlled, temporal world.
Music has the ability to affect every level of life. The right music can carry the infinitely creative Word of GOD deeply into our very being. When words are accompanied by music they are carried and reshaped by the frequencies and waveforms, enabling them to flow and be absorbed in ways that they could not if merely spoken.
Amazing Grace is an example of rather unique music which everyone can relate to and be captivated by to varying degrees, depending on the person.
If you have dissonant things going on in your life, observe what you are saying and listening to, especially words carried by music. Certain music can carry words into your psyche, so it is imperative that you are discerning as to what you listen to, especially repetitively. Don’t let music keep you trapped in a wrong state of mind.
Music and words that re-live unhappiness, struggle, pain, suffering, and broken relationships, just keep you thinking about bad times and are keeping your subconsciousness in a state of bondage, defeat, tragedy, and protest, away from healthy overcoming and improvement. Your subconscious mind, unknown to your conscious mind, records all of this and frustrates your desires for a good healthy and happy life in every respect. Exclude lyrics and melodies that are dark and toxic. Replace them with songs that are uplifting and lead your heart and mind into GOD’s will, plans, and purposes, and become a blessing incorporating the superior, supernatural frequencies of GOD’s Word.
Music and words are vehicles which you need to be sure are taking you in the right direction to the right destiny.
So much ‘modern’ music and singing is no longer melodious but just noise, with singers ‘yelling their heads off’ with words of shallow and even offensive meaning, repeated over and over, as if hearers need to hear vain repetition, together with the same ‘music – noise’ sound over and over.
Focus on the right music for the right purpose.
1 Chronicles 13:7-8 ‘They moved the ark of GOD from Abinadab’s house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it. David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before GOD, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.’
2 Chronicles 5:12-14 ‘All the Levites who were musicians; Asaph, Heman, Jeruthun, and their sons and relatives, stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps, and lyres. They were accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets. The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang:
“HE is good; HIS love endures forever.” Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of GOD.’
Psalm 57:7-8 ‘My heart is steadfast O GOD, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.’
Psalm 98:1 & 4-6 ‘Sing to the LORD a new song, for HE has done marvellous things; HIS right hand and HIS Holy arm have worked salvation for HIM.’
‘Shout for joy to the LORD, all the Earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn; shout for joy before the LORD, the KING.’
Psalm 150:1-6 ‘Praise the LORD.
Praise HIM in HIS sanctuary; praise HIM in HIS mighty heavens. Praise HIM for HIS acts of power; praise HIM for HIS surpassing greatness. Praise HIM with the sounding of the trumpet, praise HIM with the harp and lyre, praise HIM with tambourine and dancing, praise HIM with the strings and flute, praise HIM with the clash of cymbals, praise HIM with resounding cymbals. Let everyone that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.’
Ephesians 5:19-20 ‘Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to GOD the FATHER for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.’
Colossians 3:16 ‘Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to GOD.’
