Time

Seek the Truth with all your heart.

Focus on making the best use of time.

GOD has set us in time and space; which are two factors which do not apply or even exist in His kingdom.  One can reason that before Adam and Eve’s disobedience which gave entry to sin, time was not a factor because there was no existence of death and therefore ‘no end.’ Everything was measured by sunset and sunrise.  Time did not exist as a type of count-down measurement.  Time clearly relates differently to GOD than it does to humanity, which is possibly why GOD does not answer prayer when we would like HIM to, with very good reason, because GOD knows what is best.

Eternity is endless, but time is measured by a beginning and an end.  If we keep someone waiting beyond an organised time, we are actually stealing time from them, and therefore stealing part of their life.

We can understand the meanings of eternity and endlessness, but we are unable to comprehend the reality of them.

Our time belongs to GOD, every moment is HIS, and we have an obligation to use it to HIS glory.  Human life is far too short to be wasted away; time squandered can never be recovered, not even one moment of it.  The only way we can ‘sort of’ redeem time is by making the most of what time remains, in GOD-ly ways, to HIS glory.

C.S.Lewis said: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

It is such things as creating something to think about and work towards, that help to keep you alive, and your mind active, vital, alert, aware, and creative. GOD has enabled many people to do excellent things, which they fail to accomplish, or complete, and in many cases to not even attempt to achieve it.  Many pass through life without having a definite intention, standard, or objective to achieve, and thereby they greatly compromise their life by not doing what they could have done.

Standards, principles, objectives, plans, and visions, need to be embedded in your heart and mind, so that your very being and mindfulness are steering you in the right direction.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-15  ‘There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.’

What do workers gain from their toil?  I have seen the burden GOD has laid on the human race.  HE has made everything beautiful in its time.  HE has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what GOD has done from beginning to end.  I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.  That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil – this is the gift of GOD.  I know that everything GOD does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it.  GOD does it so that people will fear HIM.

Whatever is, has already been; and what will be, has been before; and GOD will call the past to account.’

Ephesians 1:9-10  ‘GOD has now revealed to us HIS mysterious plan to fulfil HIS own good pleasure which HE purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when, at the right time, HE will bring together everything in heaven and on Earth under the authority of Christ.’

Ephesians 5:15-18  ‘Be very careful how you live, not as fools but as wise people, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the LORD’s will is.  Do not get drunk on wine which leads to debauchery and ruin, but instead be filled with the Spirit.’

Colossians 3:23  ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for people.’

Colossians 4:5  ‘Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.’

2 Peter 3:8  ‘But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the LORD a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.’

Use time wisely.
