Overcomers and Conquerors
Seek the Truth with all your heart.
Through Jesus we can become overcomers, which is such a blessing in whatever aspect of life. The word ‘overcomer’ immediately implies victory in a good, non-violent way, and in Jesus we can overcome in a much greater way, because we can overcome all the ways of our lower nature; of lust; temptation; wrong thoughts; wrong speaking; and wrong behaviour. We can become a person of a higher nature - above the ways of this world.
Psalm 26:2-3 ‘Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for Your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in Your truth.’
Psalm 139:23-24 ‘Search me, O GOD, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.’
Romans 8:28-39 ‘And we know that in all things GOD works for the good of those who love HIM, who have been called according to HIS purpose. For those GOD foreknew HE also predestined to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those HE predestined, HE also called; those HE called, HE also justified; those HE justified, HE also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If GOD is for us, who can be against us? HE WHO did not spare HIS OWN son, but gave Him up for us all – how will HE not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom GOD has chosen? It is GOD WHO justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus Who died – more than that, Who was raised to life – is at the right hand of GOD and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through GOD who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of GOD that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
In these end times GOD-loving Christians and their GOD-ordained beliefs are being targeted as enemies. Deceptive laws are being put into place to enforce this. Christians need to be extremely discerning, wise, aware, and fully informed as to everything pertaining to them, otherwise they will be cut off from eternal life.
Romans 12:21 ‘Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’
James 1:12 ‘Blessed is the person who perseveres under trial, because when they have stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that GOD has promised to those who love HIM.’
1 John 5:1-5 ‘Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of GOD, and everyone who loves the FATHER loves HIS SON as well. This is how we know that we love the children of GOD: by loving GOD and carrying out HIS commands. In fact, this is love for GOD: to keep HIS commands. And HIS commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of GOD overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even (by) our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of GOD.
1 John 3:9 ‘Those who have been born into GOD’s family, do not continue to sin, because GOD’s life is in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of GOD, and are His children.’
1 John 4:4 ‘You, dear children, are from GOD and have overcome them, because the ONE (GOD - Jesus - the Holy Spirit) Who is in you is greater than the one (Satan and any of his demons) who is in the world.’
1 John 5:18 ‘We know that GOD’s children do not continue to sin, for GOD’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them.’
Revelation 2:7 “ --- To the person who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life which is in the paradise of GOD.”
Revelation 2:11 “ --- The person who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.”
Revelation 2:17 “ --- The person who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give them a white stone with a new name written on it
Revelation 2:26 The person who overcomes and does My will to the end, I will give authority over the nations.”
Revelation 3:5 ‘The one who overcomes (is victorious) will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before My FATHER and HIS angels.’
Revelation 3:10-13 "Because you have kept My command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. Whoever overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of My GOD. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my GOD and the name of the city of My GOD, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from My GOD; and I will also write on them My new name. Whoever has an ear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
Revelation 3:21-22 “To the person who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with ME on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My FATHER on HIS throne.”
Revelation 12:10-12 (John, when on the Island of Patmos was given visions and messages by GOD.) “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our GOD, and the authority of HIS Messiah (Jesus). For the accuser (Satan) of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our GOD day and night, has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. But woe to the Earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you. He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
All who have complete belief and faith in GOD and Jesus are overcomers, and have victory over Satan - the originator of sin.
Revelation 20:6 ‘Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of GOD and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.’ (In heaven, before returning to the new Earth.)
Revelation 21:7-8 “Whoever overcomes will inherit all things, and I will be their GOD and they will be My son (child). But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars; their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death.”
This will be at the resurrection of the wicked, which includes those who rejected GOD; to give them a second chance.
Revelation 21:27 ‘Nothing impure will ever enter it (the New Jerusalem – Heaven), nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.’
1 Peter 2:9 ‘But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to GOD, that you may declare the praises of HIM who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful light.’
Deuteronomy 28:13 ‘The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your GOD that I give you this day and carefully follow them. You will always be at the top, never at the bottom.’
Philippians 1;9-10 ‘May your love abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ.’
Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.’ This means ‘everything’, which includes achieving everything that is right and good, and resisting everything that is wrong and evil.
Mark 9:23 ‘Jesus said: “Everything is possible to the person who believes.”
Revelation chapters 21 & 22 These two chapters speak of the magnificence of the New Jerusalem in heaven.
Matthew 10:22 Jesus said “All people will hate you because of Me, but whoever stands firm to the end will be saved.”
Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly FATHER is perfect.
John 16:33 ‘Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Joshua 1:8 ‘Do not let the Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.’
1 Thessalonians 3:13 ‘May HE (GOD) strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our GOD and FATHER when our Lord Jesus comes with all HIS holy ones.’
1 Thessalonians 5:23 ‘May GOD Himself, the GOD of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.’

2 Timothy 2:19 ‘Nevertheless, GOD’s solid foundation (truth) stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are HIS,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord (and belong to Him) must turn away from wickedness.”
2 Timothy 4:8b ‘ ----- GOD will award the crown of righteousness to all who long for His appearing.’
We need to make the choice to walk by faith. GOD does not force anything, it is up to us to believe, have faith, and speak HIS Word, and if we do so - living in a surrendered mode - He will see to it that we overcome the world and all its darkness. GOD will keep HIS promises to us and we will have world-overcoming victory.
