Seek the Truth with all your heart.
‘Pure clean healthy living is GOD’s desire for humanity.’
Take care of your body, it is truly the only one you have to live in.
The laws of nature, being the laws of GOD, are designed for our good. Obedience to them promotes happiness in this life, and aids in the preparation for the life to come.
The requirements of GOD must be brought home to the conscience. People must be awakened to the duty of self-mastery, the need of purity, and freedom from every depraving appetite and defiling habit. People need to be impressed with the fact that all their powers of mind and body are the gift of GOD, and are to be preserved in the best possible condition for HIS service.
You can beneficially believe that the Holy Spirit makes up what you might lack, providing your complete nourishment and supplementation of what you need.
True healing and health result from cleaning out and restoring the body, using natural plant based foods. This restores natural integrity and allows the body’s immune system and natural processes to take control. The practice of medical doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies, is generally to dose the body with chemically formulated substances and products. These semi-poisonous drugs have ‘contraindications,’ which is a euphemism for ‘dangerous side effects.’
GOD provided everything we need in fruit, vegetables, nuts, plants, and flowers.
Genesis1:29-30 ‘Then GOD said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth, and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move upon the ground, everything that has the breath of life in it, I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.’
Job 33:25-26 ‘Let their flesh be renewed like a child’s, let them be restored as in the days of their youth – then that person can pray to GOD and find favour with HIM, they will see GOD’s face and shout for joy; HE will restore them to full well-being.’
Psalm 103:5 GOD ‘Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.’
Proverbs 14:30 ‘A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.’
Proverbs 17:22 ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.’
Isaiah 40:29-31 ‘HE gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.’
3 John 1:2 ‘Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.’
We are better off not eating the flesh of ‘dead’ animals. It may take some time to adjust to not eating meat - especially red meat, but there are many advantages.
Romans 12:1 ‘Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of GOD’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to GOD; this is your true and proper worship.’
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ‘Do you not know that your bodies are the temple of The Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from GOD? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour GOD with your bodies.’
In this fallen world, GOD’s original plan and purpose became corrupted by humanity’s rebellious disobedience, so things have temporarily changed, but GOD’s original plan remains unchanged, and will be restored in the new heaven and new earth.
The more we can conform to GOD’s original plan, the better off we will be, including being prepared in this world for what lies ahead.
Dr. Delores Krieger, a professor of nursing at New York University, conducted numerous studies on the power of human touch, finding that both the ‘toucher’ and the ‘touchee’ experience great physiological benefit from human contact. Red blood cells carry haemoglobin, that transports oxygen to body tissue; and Dr. Krieger found that when a person lays hands on another, the haemoglobin level in the blood of both people increases. As the levels rise, body tissue receives increased oxygen, which physically invigorates both people, and can aid in the healing process. This is the power of love in action.
There is a stationary exercise that you can do whenever you are standing, and you will find that it makes standing more comfortable, and tightens and tones your legs and glutials (buttocks.) It will also help you to not have wider hips as you age.
Stand with your feet together and squeeze your heels together as hard as you can. You will feel the effect immediately. Your feet can also be apart, and you can sustain the pressure of trying to drag them together - giving the same effect. You can also do calf raises at the same time. I have my computer at standing height, and work at it for many hours most days, which enables me to do these exercises.
Nature is very therapeutic; it is GOD’s creation.
Spending time in nature can be very healing.
Spending time in nature has been clinically shown by a large body of evidence to be beneficial, even therapeutic, in many ways. Scientists in Japan researched the effect on the body’s physical and psychological state, of spending time in nature. “Forest bathing,” as they called it, lowers stress and induces a state of “physiological relaxation.”
Another study showed that trees and plants emit aromatic compounds called phytoncides that, when inhaled, can spur healthy biological changes similar to aromatherapy.
Do you think that’s esoteric nonsense? Think again. Dr. Qing Li, a professor at the Nippon Medical School in Tokyo found that when people walk through or stay overnight in forests, they often exhibit changes in the blood that are associated with protection against cancer, better immunity and lower blood pressure. The trees’ natural fragrance appears to lower blood pressure by quelling the “fight-or-flight” response.
Being in nature has also been linked in recent studies to symptom relief in heart disease, depression, cancer, anxiety and attention disorders. “The quiet atmosphere, beautiful scenery, good smells and fresh, clean air, in forests all contribute to the effects,” says Li.
Spending time in green spaces can lower blood pressure in 10% of people with high blood pressure, according to a large June 2016 study, and by spending just 30 minutes in nature each week could help them get their hypertension under control.
Looking at a stunning waterfall or tall trees can also make you more helpful and unselfish by eliciting feelings of awe, researchers found. People who spent 60 seconds looking up at towering trees were more likely to report feeling awe, after which they were more likely to help a stranger than people who looked at an equally tall --- but less awe-inspiring building.
“Experiences of awe, attune people to things larger than themselves,” says Paul Piff after a 2015 study he helped conduct at the University of California, Irvine. “They cause individuals to feel less entitled, less selfish, and to behave in more generous and helping ways.” And regularly experiencing moments of awe has been linked to lower levels of inflammatory compounds in the body.
Being in nature can lower your risk of premature death. Women living in areas with a lot of vegetation had a 12% lower risk of death from all causes compared with people in less green places. For instance, breathing the air of nature increases the number of killer cells (NK cells), a type of white blood cell that supports the immune system and is associated with a lower risk of cancer.
NK cells also are thought to have a role in combating infections and autoimmune disorders and a range of ailments, like heart disease and diabetes. Researchers found that people, who took two long walks through forests on consecutive days, increased their NK cells by 50% and the activity of these cells increased by 56%. Those activity levels remained 23% higher than usual for the month following the walks.
Nature will bless you.
Spending time in nature can also reduce anxiety, mood changes and depression. One 2015 study showed that people who walk for 90 minutes in a natural setting were less likely to ruminate – mull things over, a key symptom of depression and anxiety. They also had lower activity in areas of the brain linked to depression than people who walked in urban areas.
It is also thought that the air around moving water, forests, and mountains contains high levels of negative ions, which seem to reduce depression, according to another study.
Working in the garden, pruning, gathering flowers, fruit, and vegetables, listening to the birds, and praising GOD, blesses you wonderfully. Angels of GOD will draw near to you, you will forget your sorrows, melancholy and depression will leave you, fresh air, sunshine, and exercise, will bring life and vitality, to your body, and relief to your wearied brain and nerves.
1 Timothy 4:8-10 ‘For physical training is of some value, but GOD-liness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. That is why we labour and strive, because we have put our hope in the living GOD, WHO is the SAVIOUR of all people, and especially of those who believe.’
Listen to your body; don’t eat for the sake of it, stop and ask yourself if you really are hungry. Eating unnecessarily is putting unnecessary loading – stress – on your body, because the process of digestion is one of the body’s most demanding functions.
If you are eating out with friends, instead of feeling under pressure or obligation to eat food virtually for the sake of it – choose soup, which is easily digested, or an entre, or a healthy desert, or order a vegetable juice – if they make them. Teach your body to want healthy things; it will thank you for it.
Healthy eating makes your body sing. Unhealthy eating makes your body groan, and gives you oral remorse.
Without making food choices a burden – the best balance of foods is to eat 80% alkaline foods and 20% acid foods.
