To be saved for future resurrection to eternal life, you need to have a positive, living relationship with GOD; irrespective of your earthly standard of living; whether you are extraordinarily wealthy, or desperately poor.
If you are a Christian – be a Christian.
Revelation 3:15-22 “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other. So because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to spit you out of My mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth, and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich and wear white clothes so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with them, and they with Me.
To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to sit with Me on My throne; just as I overcame and sat down with My FATHER on HIS throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches - the people.”
Gold is symbolic for Truth which has withstood much onslaught and many attacks,
White clothes is symbolic for overcoming, and moral and spiritual cleanliness. Money - wealth - can be a blessing, but like fire and water, it’s a good servant or pleasing possession, but a bad master. It’s just a commodity, a medium of exchange, a collectable, which must be kept in correct perspective.
‘Watchman’ and ‘Christian Responsibility.’
Ezekiel 33:7-9 “Son of man, I (GOD) have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from ME. When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their wicked ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. But if you do warn the wicked person to turn from their ways and they do not do so, they will die for their sin, but you will have saved yourself.”
A watchman is someone who fills a responsible position of observing events and changes, which need prayer, and then praying assertively and perseveringly for whatever is required: - to bring order - restore or create co-operation – bring political peace – bring about change or favour. The subject could be anything from a small incident to a major international situation.
