Seeking God
Seeking GOD

Seek the Truth with all your heart.
Seek GOD’s Face, and you will find more than you ever dreamed possible.
Seeking GOD with all your heart is the wisest thing you can possibly do in this world.
When lesser goals capture your attention, GOD fades into the background of your life, but HE is still there, watching and waiting. HIS Light shines on every situation. Let nothing dampen your search for HIM.
Deuteronomy 4:29 ‘But if from there you seek the LORD your GOD, you will find HIM if you look for HIM with all your heart and with all your soul.’
1 Chronicles 16:11 ‘Look to the LORD and HIS strength; seek HIS Face always.’
Psalm 9:9-10 ‘The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know YOUR Name will trust in YOU, for YOU, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek YOU.’
Psalm 27:14 ‘Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.’
Psalm 105:4 ‘Look to the LORD and HIS strength, seek HIS face always.’
Psalm 139:23-24 ‘Search me, O GOD, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.’
Psalm 145:18-19 ‘The LORD is near to all who call on HIM, to all who call on HIM in truth. HE fulfils the desires of those who fear HIM; HE hears their cry and saves them.’
Proverbs 8:17 ‘I love those who love ME, and those who seek ME find ME.’
Isaiah 55:6-11 ‘Seek the LORD while HE may be found; call on HIM while HE is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and HE will have mercy on them, and to our GOD, for HE will freely pardon.
“For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways,” declares the LORD.
As the heavens are higher than the Earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways and MY thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the Earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower4 and bread for the eater, so is MY Word that goes out from MY mouth: It will not return to ME empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.’
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon ME and come and pray to ME, and I will listen to you. You will seek ME and find ME when you seek ME with all your heart.”
Matthew 16:33-34 ‘But seek first HIS (GOD’s) kingdom and HIS righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.’
Matthew 7:7-8 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; whoever seeks finds; and to whoever knocks, the door will be opened.”
When you stop trying to control everything, and place your life in GOD’s hands, things have a way of working out. GOD knows the best timing to enable things to happen. It’s in looking back that we realize that GOD had something better in mind for us. We weren’t ready at that point to handle what we were asking HIM for; despite our enthusiasm and impatience, HE knew the time was not right for reasons that we might never know about.
Moses waited eighty years for a ministry that lasted forty years; two thirds of his life was spent getting ready. Jesus spent thirty years preparing for His ministry that lasted three and a half years. GOD’s perspective is that your life is measured by its effectiveness not by its length.
GOD has given sufficient evidence of the divine character of HIS Word. Through the Holy Spirit, HE has clearly presented the truths concerning our redemption, which is promised to every person who sincerely seeks it, and who may then understand these truths for themselves. HE has given a strong foundation on which to rest in faith.
Finite human minds are inadequate to fully comprehend GOD’s plans, purposes, and the dimensions of HIS majesty.
Romans 11:33-34 ‘Oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD. How unsearchable are HIS judgements, and HIS paths (ways) are beyond tracing out. Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counsellor?’
1 Corinthians 15:58 ‘Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.’
Hebrews 11:6 ‘And without faith it is impossible to please GOD, because anyone who comes to HIM must believe that HE exists and that HE rewards those who earnestly seek HIM.’
Humans are not to be doubtful, dissatisfied, or distrustful, GOD will reveal as much of HIS purposes as is good for us to know. Beyond that we must trust HIS omnipotent hand and HIS love. HE will never remove all excuses for unbelief; all who refuse to accept and obey HIS Word until every single doubt and question has been answered, will never come to the light. Those who look for, or create, reasons to doubt, will always be able to find them; and by doing so they shut themselves out of a wonderful relationship.
Doubts about, and even rejection of GOD seem to be the natural attitude of an non-renewed heart. Unbelief creates a barrier between such people and GOD, cutting themselves off from HIS love and help. If we proclaim HIS word with a faith filled, believing heart, we will experience what HE has to offer.
Faith is inspired by the Holy spirit. Heeding the light which already shines, will lead to receiving greater light.
We all have darkened minds before we seek GOD wholeheartedly. GOD then chooses to pour HIS light into us so that each of us can be a beacon to others, and in this there is no room for pride. Our part is to reflect GOD’s glory.
