GOD loves - Satan hates. Satan wants to destroy anything that is of GOD.
Satan is the originator and introducer of sin, which brought death into our reality, and all the decay, illness, crime, unhappiness, and every compromise of life on Earth.
If Satan did not exist, evil would not exist.
Satan was originally Lucifer, the angel of light, known as the Morning Star, before he caused a major disruption in heaven because of his jealousy of GOD and HIS plans, so GOD had to eject him and the angels who were his followers, out of heaven. His position was filled by Gabriel who is now GOD’s message carrier.
Satan fell from being the Angel of Light, to becoming the devil – the serpent. A third of the angels in heaven, who had become his followers and now his supportive demons, were ejected with him, and all were cast down to Earth. They have since been working to create the myriad of problems for humanity.
For a time period GOD cannot lawfully step in, because the delegation of authority which HE had initiated had to be respected.
Satan introduced evil into this world which has resulted in humanity becoming a victim of evil and sin. The resulting conflict between truth and perfection, and lies and deception, has produced the cosmic conflict, because it’s a spiritual battle. Jesus has won the victory, and now Satan is operating on borrowed time, until GOD decides the right time to send Jesus to Earth for a brief visit, to bring it all to finality.
Satan produces forgeries and counterfeits to attack every good thing of GOD.
Satan was originally Lucifer the guardian cherub (angel) described in Ezekiel 28:12-19, although he will not be reduced to ashes until a future event. The fulfilment of these verses covers a long period. Verse 12 tells us that “Satan was the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty" when he was created, and before he was expelled from heaven and thrown to the earth, and cursed to become a serpent.
Why can’t GOD step in and stop bad things from happening in this world?
There is more information in ‘Adam and Eve’ in addition to the following four paragraphs.
GOD gave Adam dominion - rule - over the Earth (Genesis 1:28) and in keeping with HIS Word, could not contradict this arrangement. GOD’s Word is HIS irrevocable commitment, and in this case HIS lawful commitment of delegation was set in place until GOD decides it is the right time for HIM to bring things to a close – about 6,000 years later.
Adam and Eve’s disobedient mistake led to a massive disaster resulting from Adam having, by default, passed his GOD-given dominion to Satan.
GOD had given them freedom in everything, with only one condition, which Satan used deceptively to lure them into sin by breaking it. So from that one act against GOD’s instruction, they became prisoners of sin and a ‘life’ of temporary existence ending in death; which was not as GOD created it to be.
Adam, in allowing Eve to disobediently succumb to Satan’s temptation, by default, actually allowed Satan to steal that dominion. So this one, apparently simple act, which allowed Satan (Lucifer) to claim dominion, by Eve having capitulated to his lies, had an incalculably drastic and tragic result, which destroyed GOD’s magnificent design, plan, and creation, and introduced death into humanity and all life on Earth. Every aspect of GOD’s magnificent creation progressively broke down and continues to deteriorate.
Sin is a corrupter and destroyer in every level of life.
Psalm 104:35 ‘But may sinners vanish from the Earth and the wicked be no more.
Praise the LORD, my soul.

Genesis chapters 1&2 describe GOD’s act of creating man (Adam) and woman (Eve), and HIS instructions to them to not eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which was in the middle of the garden of Eden.
Genesis chapter 3 describes Satan’s deception of Adam and Eve.
It is a sad but undeniable fact that every person who is not a decided, loving, loyal follower of Christ is, by default, a servant of Satan. Satan does not need anyone to consciously follow him, for him to achieve his purpose; he just needs people to not follow Christ, and he will use any way that works to achieve this.
Satan’s object, plan, and process is to deprive GOD of as many members of HIS Family as possible, and he will do whatever is necessary to keep people from becoming members of GOD’s family.
Satan is also using many tactics to destroy the fabric of GOD’s creation, such as confusing and frustrating sexual identity, and GOD-ly sexual relationships.
He will also cause people to twist and negate GOD’s Biblical teaching so as to deceive as many as possible. He uses ways to make religion boring – irrelevant – confusing – contradictory - and very unappealing.
Satan also, in subtle ways, will cause people to believe that everything came into being through evolution, thereby making GOD’s magnificent plan, process, and purpose of HIS creation irrelevant.
GOD still loves every person, but they, by their own choices, separate themselves from HIS promises. Future outcomes of HIS Love can only be effective when that love is accepted, responded to, and acted upon.
Being a member - child - of GOD’s family, is entirely open to each person’s conscious, informed, personal choice.
Satan has used countless strategies to put people off true Christianity, and set up traps which are so far reaching as to be almost unimaginable to the vast majority of the world’s population. His main instrument is the Catholic Church (Roman Catholic) which has a huge number of unsuspected ‘shop-fronts’ in the form of entities which operate in many different ways.
GOD, WHO knows everything, past, present, and future, always knew this would happen.
The Book of Revelation which is the last book in the Bible, covers the whole situation in chapters 12-18, which need at least a basic understanding of the symbolic wording which is from a dream that Daniel had, as described in Daniel chapters 7 & 8.
Please read Revelation chapter 17, and knowing the background mentioned above, this chapter will give you a picture of it, even though some of it is in symbolic wording.
Revelation 12:7-17 ‘Then war broke out in heaven, (never to happen again,) Michael and His angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. ‘The great dragon was hurled down; that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the Earth, and his angels with him.’
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our GOD, and the authority of HIS Messiah. For the accusers of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our GOD day and night, has been hurled down.
They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus crucifixion) and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them. But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you. He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.’
(He was known as Lucifer in heaven, now he is Satan. His angels, who are now the fallen angels or demons were a third of the angels in heaven, therefore (of course) they are half of the number of GOD’s angels in heaven. Satan’s angels do not have access to heaven, but GOD’s angels have access to Earth, and anywhere in the universe.)
Revelation 13:8 ‘All inhabitants of the Earth will worship the beast; all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb Who was slain from the creation of the world.’ (Written from the creation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb (Jesus) Who was slain.)
Revelation 13:13 ‘And he (Satan) performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to Earth in full view of people.’ (To deceive people, because fire from heaven was one of GOD’s signs.)
James 4:7 ‘Submit yourselves, then, to GOD. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’
Isaiah 14:12-15 ‘How you (Satan) have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn. You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations. You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of GOD; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountains. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit.’
Matthew 4:1-11 These scriptures record several attempts by Satan to tempt and challenge Jesus; but in each case Jesus blocked his attempts by answering him: “It is written,” followed with GOD’s Word from the Bible, which immediately neutralized Satan’s attempts.
Matthew 10:28 ‘Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.’
Luke 11:24 ‘When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left. When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.’
There are millions of Satanic spirits (demons - fallen angels) in this world who are relentlessly doing the works of Satan. Satan and his demons are the causes - instigators – producers - motivators of all kinds of evil and sin.
GOD’s angels are twice as many as Satan’s evil angels.
John 8:44b ‘He (Satan) was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.’
John 10:10 ‘The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, (meaning eternal life) and have it to the full.’
Satan wants you to think he is equal with GOD. Satan is a formidable foe, but there are limits to what he is both able and permitted to do on Earth.
One of his major headaches is people having a strong unshakeable relationship with GOD.
He will try to dilute GOD’s Word, he will introduce doubt, misunderstanding, distractions, all types of negativity, confusion, opposition, twisting, and misinterpretation of scripture.
GOD is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent; HE can do anything, anywhere, anytime. GOD is unquestionably and unquestioningly supreme.
John 12:31 ‘Now is the time for judgement on this world; now the prince of this world (Satan) will be driven out.’
This was Jesus talking to His disciples about His forthcoming crucifixion.
1 Corinthians 10:20-22 ‘No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to GOD, and I do not want you to participate with demons.
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons. Are you trying to arouse the Lord’s jealousy? Are we stronger than He?’
2 Corinthians 4:4 ‘The ‘god’ (Satan) of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of GOD.’
In the end times Satan will do many false miracles and create many deceptions. So we need to know the truth and not be deceived. One can only detect the counterfeit by knowing the truth, GOD’s genuine ways, and by being alert to which ‘miracles’ are from Satan and his millions of fallen angels (the demons).
Satan promotes inadequacy in GOD’s eyes by causing you to be satisfied with far less than GOD’s standards and requirements. Satan’s instruments are to promote judging, accusing, criticizing, attacking, hating, lying, compromising, not loving, not being compassionate, being unkind, and all other GOD-less attitudes and behaviour.
Tests and trials, which people often say GOD is putting them through, are not created by GOD but by Satan. GOD does not place such things in your life; however if you are suffering in some way, GOD might allow you to go through it, because HE knows that the outcome is to some kind of advantage, and HE can turn bad things into a good outcome.
Psalm 140:1-4 ‘Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; protect me from men of violence who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Keep me. O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet,’
Romans 8:27-39 ‘And HE (GOD) who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints (Christians) in accordance with GOD’s will.
And we know that in all things GOD works for the good of those who love HIM, who have been called according to HIS purpose. For those GOD foreknew HE also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of HIS Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those HE also called, HE also justified; those HE justified, HE also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this? If GOD is for us, who can be against us? HE Who did not spare HIS own Son, but gave Him up for us all; how will HE not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things.? Who will bring any charge against those whom GOD has chosen? It is GOD Who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, Who died; more than that, Who was raised to life; is at the right hand of GOD and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble of hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword. As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of GOD that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’
2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 ‘And the lawless one (Satan) will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendour of His coming. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason GOD sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.’
Revelation 20:1-3 ‘And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free - released - for a short time.’
(Satan is released for a short time, to enable the unsaved dead who will have been raised, to be exposed to Satan’s temptations once again, so that GOD’s judgement can be seen to be fair. The outcome of this will then seal their fate.)
Jesus used the Word of GOD – Scripture - as a sword every time He needed to deal with Satan.
Satan and all his demons (the fallen angels who followed him when he was thrown out of heaven,) are using every lie, deception, and foul trick, to draw Christians away from GOD, and even turn them against HIM. Christians who have deserted strong, intimate relationship with Jesus and GOD, are seen by GOD to be unfaithful, and therefore enemies, and therefore as having joined the ranks of the wicked, and therefore will be lost forever.
Satan only needs to distract our attention away from GOD by keeping us preoccupied with entertainment, chasing money, following sport, being focussed on worldly events, hobbies, and all the other things available in this life, in this world, that squeeze GOD out of the picture.
Satan also uses Christianity to destroy itself, by introducing ministry to begin internal corruption, decay, counterfeit, misrepresentation, misinterpretation, and corruption of GOD’s truth, to break down the church from within by these falsities. Satan sets in decay like a giant spreading colony of white ants.
Many people who are mindful of GOD, might only treat HIM as an added extra in life, instead of holding HIM as the central relational focus and foundational value in their life.
This is why we need to know GOD’s truth – so we can recognize what is false.
Christians are to remain strongly devoted and faithful to Jesus and GOD, despite the cost, including death. We can do this knowing that we will be resurrected to an eternal life of indescribable, unimaginable, perfection, and magnificence.
We all must hold on to one hundred percent faith, loyalty, trust, and commitment, without doubting, and without looking back.
Satan’s aim is to separate people from GOD.
