Right and Wrong
Seek the Truth with all your heart.
Everything has a starting point, good and bad. Good things are how things are meant to be, bad things are just plainly not. Good things can become distorted – misapplied – misunderstood - or misused.
In all civilized societies there are accepted standards relating to everything from relationships and families, to traffic rules, societal statute laws, legislations, legal and lawful matters - and all aspects of decent living - designed to enable safety, decency, and comfortable GOD-ly living.
Some people will say that such things as bigamy, and other variations, are an accepted way of life in certain societies.
However in light of Absolute Truth, there is a Creator, and for HIS creation, HE has certain purposes and standards. Anything other than these standards represents societal distortion, wrong principles, and wrongful living.
It is like having an expensive car which has an instruction book indicating how it should be used. The owner of the car is free to treat it in any way they choose; however doing so will void the guarantee, and probably lead to the car not operating in the way it was designed to, and even breaking down completely.
Our Creator GOD’S instruction book - The Bible - outlines the life HE designed us for.
HE did not design that way of living for us; HE designed us to live only in that way; just like the car that was designed to be used in a certain way.
HOWEVER, every human on Earth has Freedom of Choice, BUT they have to understand that every choice has consequences.
GOD offers us something that the car manufacturer does not. If the car has gone wrong because of your mistreatment, the manufacturers guarantee is VOID.
GOD gives us the chance to repent - turn around - and turn to HIM. HE will forgive you and accept you into HIS kingdom. This cannot be treated lightly, it has to be a one hundred percent genuine confession, turn-around, change of lifestyle, and coming into relationship with HIM. (Please see: ‘Born Again.’)
GOD loves everyone but HE cannot tolerate or approve of wrongful behaviour. HE will not reject you; you reject yourself by disobedience and wrong behaviour and practices. HE has already made clear, HIS conditions of acceptance.
Why kick against GOD’s requirements, and become a loser; when, with GOD you can be an eternal winner.
Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25 ‘There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.’
Isaiah 5:20-21 ‘Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.’
Hebrews 12:1-6 ‘Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of GOD. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons (children). My son (child), do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when HE rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those HE loves, and HE punishes everyone HE accepts as a son (child).’
