Wicked

Seek the Truth with all your heart.

Every person who rejects GOD for whatever reason they decide to do so, is referred to in the Bible as ‘wicked.’

Everything GOD does, HE does with good reason. GOD loves everyone, but their actions – lifestyle - may reject HIM and HIS love. Such people are referred to as wicked, because in GOD’s eyes they have become so because they are rejecting, mocking, or denying their Creator; which leaves them in the default position of being under Satan’s demonic influence.

Subjects like this are not included to condemn, or threaten people; they are a loving warning for people to avoid participating in any situations, lifestyles, or belief systems that oppose GOD’s standards and requirements, hence attracting the consequences.

GOD wants people who are doing good things, living the right way, being righteous, and in relationship with HIM through Jesus; to be in HIS kingdom.

Ultimately GOD wants everyone – but that is up to each person – it is not up to GOD.

It is similar to you having a party for close friends – you invite only those you know as being true friends.

Psalm 7:14-16  ‘Whoever is pregnant with evil and conceives trouble gives birth to disillusionment.  Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out, falls into the pit they have made.  The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own head.’

Psalm 11:1-3  ‘In the LORD I take refuge.  How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain.  For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.  When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Psalm 37:10 & 12-17 & 20 & 27-28  ‘A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.’

‘The wicked plot against the righteous and knish their teeth at them; but the LORD laughs at the wicked, for HE knows their day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those who are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

But the wicked will perish: Though the LORD’s enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever. For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake HIS faithful ones.’

Malachi 3:13-15  ‘”You have spoken arrogantly against Me,” says the LORD.

“Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against YOU?’

“You have said, ‘It is futile to serve GOD. What do we gain by carrying out HIS requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD ALMIGHTY?  But now we call the arrogant blessed.  Certainly evildoers prosper, and even when they put GOD to the test, they get away with it.”

Malachi 4:1-6  “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace.  All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the LORD ALMIGHTY.  “Not a root or a branch will be left to them.  But for you who revere MY NAME, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays.  And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.  Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the LORD ALMIGHTY.

“Remember the law of MY servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.

See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.  He will turn the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”
